STUDENTS! LEARN TO
READ! LEARN TO READ BETTER! LEARN MATH LIKE NEVER
We provide FREE, CONFIDENTIAL tutoring to any adult
who wants help with reading, math, earning a high
school diploma, improving your skills at work, or learning English as a second
LVEP helps improve your
reading and writing skills through our Basic
Literacy and English as a Second Language programs.
We provide free one-on-one tutoring and classes.
LVEP also provides tutoring in
core Math subjects, from learning the basics
to complex Algebra and Geometry. Math can be one of
the more difficult subjects to pass in a high school
equivalency examination. LVEP can help you learn the
skills you need.
If you know someone who wants
to improve his or her writing, reading, math, or
conversational English, we can help.
YOU WANT TO HELP ADULTS IN YOUR COMMUNITY?
Literacy Volunteers provides tutor training to
adults interested in helping other adults learn.
Volunteer tutors help other adults with reading,
writing, math, earning high school diplomas, and
learning English as a second language.
All volunteers receive free training, materials, and
support; in return, LVEP asks tutors to commit to 50
hours of volunteer work over a year - about one hour
a week with a student.
Remember, you don't have to be
an English teacher to help others to read. Our
tutors come from all backgrounds and lifestyles,
from stay-at-home parents and retirees to part-time
students and full-time workers.
To become a student or tutor, or to get more
